Unfortunately it costs a lot to maintain the Mill and donations are always appreciated.
We are collecting for our Heritage Fund that is used to preserve the original mill workings and environs. It is not used for the upkeep of the residential properties.
The mill is owned by the residents though our own limited company, everyone is a shareholder. We pay fees to upkeep the buildings and estate but cannot always fund the heritage extras such as maintaining the sluice gates, the wheels and mill workings.
We therefore run charitable events to raise monies to help preserve this little piece of history.

A remarkable discovery has been made in the mill room of Albert Mill.
During routine checks, some loose floorboards—originally laid during the 1990s apartment conversion—revealed historic mill workings hidden beneath. These include the cog wheels that once connected the internal water millwheel to the grindstones, an extraordinary piece of the mill’s industrial past.
We plan to replace the floorboards with an illuminated glass floor to show the workings.
